My name is Sarath Sasidharan. My Date of Birth is 25/12/1993. Am I eligible for the NDA examinations for the year 2012

Your Date of Birth does not fulfill the age criteria of NDA & NA examination.

The date of birth of applicant should be 2nd Jan 1994 to 1st July 1996.

You are not eligible for defence jobs through NDA & NA examination but you can
apply for defence jobs after graduation.
You should study science or engineering in graduation so as to get officer category
job in defence.

NDA exam is conducted by UPSc every year. This is an entrance exam to join in defense in different sector..

Age eligibility for NDA exam:-

1.Candidate must have complete the age 16.5 years and must not have complete the age 18 years.

But according to your date of birth , you have already completed the 18 years of age..

So, you are not eligible for NDA exam.
But you can join in defense after completion of graduation through CDS exam.

So, go for it..

I am sorry to say that you are not eligible for N.D.A exam.
If you really want to join Defence Force then you can apply after passing graduation.
For this you have to qualify the C.D.S exam.

C.D.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.

After qualifying C.D.S exam you can join Defence services like:-
> Army
> Air Force
> Navy

Eligibility criteria for C.D.S:-
> Pass graduation with recognized university
> Age limit:-19-24 year.
> Must be citizen of India
> Medically fit

Hi Sarath,

NDA is an exam conducted by UPSC expanded as National Defense Academy Exam. This exam is to choose best persons for taking a role in Defense Services.
To appear in the exam you must have cleared your 12th std and if you want to join in air force or navy you must have taken science as your stream. Your age must be above 19yrs and below 21yrs. As your age is still 18 you must wait for atleast 1year to appear in the exam.

Sorry to say that you are not eligible for NDA exam because your age is over 19 years.Which is the maximum age for NDA exam.

You are totally eligible for this examination, known as NATIONAL DE3FENCE ACADEMY [NDA], conducted by the UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION [UPSC].
For appear in this examination, you must possess at least a 12th degree from the recognized board in the 10+2 pattern.
But for apply in NAVAL & AIR FORCE , you must have Physics & Maths as your passing subjects in 12th with at least 60% [aggregate].

The age limit for this examination is 16.5-19 years, also remind that, there is not any kind age relaxations are applicable for any reserved categories.

You must have Indian nationality & marital status unmarried.
