The candidate should have date of birth after 1 October, 1986. This is belonging to For General Candidates, OBC and DC. The candidate of SC, ST and PD has some relaxation in date of birth eligibility criteria of 5 years. They fulfill the date of birth after 1 October 1981. There is required a proof of date of birth and need to attach the proof of date of birth with application form. The date of birth can be verified by high school/Board Examination/ University certificated and mark sheet where date of birth is recorded |

Re: What is the age limit in IIT JEE for OBC candidates?
Dear friend,
Upper age limit for writing IIT jee is 25 years for general and OBC candidates. However for SC/ST/PD candidates upper age limit is 30 years. And another thing is you must be 17 years old to write this exam. Also remember at most two attempts are allowed. If you passed 10+2 two years before but you age is within the limit you are still not eligible for IIT jee. Good Luck !! |

the students whose age is 24 years or less are eligible for giving iit jee exam. this age limit is for general category students only. there is relaxation in age limit of five for sc/st and physically handicapped students. for obc category, there is no relaxation in age limit. so you can apply for the exam only until you are of 24 years. after that you can not apply. also there are maximum only two attempts for giving iit jee exam. |
