Re: Any reservation quota for Hearing Impaired candidates in AIEEE?
Yes, the reservation process is as follows-
1. Scheduled Castes (SC): 15 percent of the total seats in the Institution. 2. Scheduled Tribes (ST): 7.5 percent of the total seats in the Institution. 3. Children/War Widows of Defence Personnel Killed/Disabled in Action (CW): 5 % percent of the total seats in the institution for children/widows of personnel of Armed/Paramilitary Forces killed/disabled in action during the hostilities in the following priority: a. PRIORITY I - Widows/wards of Defence Personnel killed in action. b. PRIORITY II - Wards of serving personnel and ex-servicemen disabled in action. c. PRIORITY III - Widows/wards of Defence Personnel who died in peace time with death attributable to Military Service. d. PRIORITY IV - Wards of Defence Personnel disabled in peace time with disability attributable to Military Service 4. Physically Handicapped (PH): 3 percent of the total seats in each Institution. The 3 percent reservation may be allocated as followed: 1 percent for persons with low vision or blindness, 1 percent for hearing impaired, 1 percent for those with loco-motor disabilities and/or cerebral palsy. 5. Other Backward Classes (OBC): Reservation for the Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates as per directive/approval of the competent authority. |

Re: Any reservation quota for Hearing Impaired candidates in AIEEE?
There is reservation for physically handicapped candidates (PH): 1% of all seats are reserved for hearing impaired persons. This is on horizontal basis, i.e. the person may be SC/ST/OBC/Gen, doesn't matter.
So cheers :-) nishant1110 |

Quote:
I felt very bad to know about you. But the query asked by you is a general one which is a doubt for many. Yes, there is a reservation for physically impaired persons but it must satisfy the conditions kept by the ccb. You can check this in the booklet provided with the AIEEE application form. Best of Luck |

I am student passed 2 from ICSE. I have hearing loss (100%). May I know if there is any reservation of this physical status in engineering colleges like JEE Mains and advanced? I would also like to know about the people who join in IIT in hearing loss quota.
