As far my knowledge u can earn a sum of 25000-30000 a month after completing GP rating.
I managed to know this by one of my frnd already working in merchant navy. Company name is (GP RATING) at ANGLO - EASTERN SHIP MANAGEMENT INDIA PVT LTD.

If you are Passed with Aggregate 40% and in also with 40% in English Subject, so you can do it...

aftr getting ur CDC followed by GPR...u've option to work on deck or engine dept....for Deck u'll be a trainee seaman(TS)...u;ll be paid $300 to $400 pm (aprox)..later aftr 9 months of exp u'll be able to get navigational watch-keeping certfct...then ur rank'll be an OS (ordinary seaman)..which will pay u $1000 to $1200 pm.......and if u go for engine dept. ur rank ll be wiper which will pay u same as that of TS...and later after getting engine room watch-keeping certfct...u'll get $1100 to $1300 pm....Regards [email protected]
