I am a student of +3 arts ,and I wants to be an IAS officer ,so i want to know which is the best degree to be an IAS officer in the course of Arts.

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Services. It comes under Civil Services examination of Indian government. IAS examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission. The eligibility criteria for Civil Services examination is:

>>Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Final year candidates of bachelor's degree can also apply for Civil Services exam. UPSC has clearly mentioned that candidates from all discipline of bachelor's degree are eligible for Civil Services examination.

The selection of stream in bachelor's degree should be totally done on interest of candidate not on suggestion of others or present trends. It is general trend that if some one says that this stream is good then candidate opt for that. Your stream selection should be done in accordance with your interest and subject which you would like to take as an optional in mains exam.

All stream either arts or science or commerce stream is good for UPSC Civil Services examination. If you have done 10+2 in arts then you must do bachelor's degree in arts.
