Hi,

Indian economics exam is conducted by UPSC of India for recruitment of various post where needed.It is IES/ISS exam.It is kind of competitive exam like IES exam.

Some of the criteria given by Upsc guidelines are:

Age:- 21-30 years on 1st January of the year of Examination, must not exceed 30.

Qualification:- Must be a PG degree holder in Economics,Applied Economics,Business economic.

>> Notification of the exam will usually come in June and the exam will be in November 2013.

You can visit www.upsc.gov.in for updates about this exam.

Syllabus:-

* General studies

*Economics

* general english

1. Indian Economy: R. Dutt and Sundaram.(for Prelims)

4. Macro: Shapiro (Mains), Dornbusch and fischer, Ahuja.(Prelims)

After this, you can refer NCERT 11th and 12th economic books,they are also necessary for this preparation.
