i m a 1st yr B.A.(Hons) Economics student.. n i want to build my career in economics.. I want to attempt Indian Economic Service Exam as my aim is to become an IES ofiicer... can u tell me if there is a good chance of making career in IES??? or any other field??

Indian Economic Service is conducted by UPSC.

For the Indian Economic Service one should have a Post Graduate degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics .

Your age should be in between 21 to 30 years old.

If you want to go for Indian Economics Service exam , so dont worry .I have provide some Question paper .Prepare well to all this paper very well with the help of some valuable books.

You will able to apply for IES(Indian Economist Officer) through IES Exam conducted by UPSC.The notification for this exam when comes published in the "Employment News".

Age Limit for IES Exam

• Minimum age should be 21 years.
• Age should not be above 30 years.

Educational qualification

• You should have a post Graduate degree from recognized university.
• Your Post Graduate degree should belong from the Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics.

Exam Pattern

• Objective Paper - In Preliminary Exam.
• Conventional Paper - In Mains Exam.

Details of Objective Paper

• This paper will include questions from two sections.
• Part A :- General studies and General English.Total duration of this section will be 2 hour and total marks will be 200.
• Part B :- It will include two papers from Economics and each paper will be of 200 marks of each 2 hours.

Details of Conventional paper

• This paper will include two sets.
• Each set will be of 3 hours.
• Total marks for each set will be 2 hours.
• These paper will be Economics I and Economics II.
