Higher study or Job after B.Tech in Civil Engineering ? If you completed B.Tech course in Civil engineering and confuse that what to do higher study or job then i advise you to choose any option by own interest. If you want to get higher study then you can go for the higher study after completing B.Tech course and if you want to do job then you can seat in the campus placement. According to me i advise you to go for the higher study because it gives you more opportunity to get a good job. After completing B.Tech course you have many option for higher study like M.Tech, MBA...etc. You can get admission in any one of the given course according to your interest. Both technology and business management field are available for you. You can go in any one according to your interest. M.Tech is the technology stream. It is post graduate level course and it is duration of two years whereas MBA is the related to the business management and it also duration of 2 years. If you are interested in the technology field then you can take admission in the M.tech course and if you are interested in the business field then you can take admission in MBA course. It is your career so choose any field by own interest not by parents or another interest. I wish you will get a brightness future. Regards ~Mukul~ |

Re: Which is better to choose between Higher Education and Job after completing degree in Civil Engineering?
i think higher education is always good for career. but you should decide what you want to do in future.
if you think that you will work in a civil industry through out my whole life then after B.E/B.Tech in civil engineering you may directly go for job. B.E/B.Tech degree is sufficient to work in industry. but if you have a plan that in future you will join as lecturer in any institution or you want to do research then you should go for higher study. because with out minimum of M.Tech degree you will not be eligible for faculty position. for research field you have to do p.hd. so i think it is the best way to continue your study after B.Tech without any resume. even you are interested to work in industry whole life then also you may go for higher study. because higher study with good performance will not only give you good salary but also it will give you good position. so the best way is to choose higher study. but for higher study you have to clear entrance examination GATE and then take admission in IIT like renowned institution for higher education. best of luck. |

Re: Which is better to choose between Higher Education and Job after completing degree in Civil Engineering?
Civil Engineering is an evergreen stream...
There will always be a constant demand for civil engineers in public as well as private sectors. but the chances of getting placed in public sectors is high for civil engineers. So My suggestion is to find and get a job after completing your B.tech degree....You will definitely get a good one. But after getting job, if you are not satisfied with your job then you can go for M.tech in civil engineering. A masters degree will give more value to your profile. So you can do both....the choice is yours. If you want to earn money right after B.tech, then go for jobs. And if you want to gain more knowledge and want to become an expert in your field, then do M.tech. All the best! |

If you have so much need of money and you want to support your family as soon as possible then you must choose the option of job after completing degree in civil engineering and there are many companies which are offering jobs for freshers in both government and private sectors.
If there is no problem in your studies then you must choose the option of higher education because it will increase your attitude, personal skill and it makes your CV strong enough to do job in big companies and you will get an excellent pay-packages. You can also get job in foreign companies also if you complete their eligibility and skill requirements |

Re: Which is better to choose between Higher Education and Job after completing degree in Civil Engineering?
Hello friend,
Definitely higher studies will open up more options for you in the future but in the mean while, i would suggest you to try for jobs in the government sector. So, the best thing you can do is to write the Engineering Service exam conducted by UPSC. The minimum eligible age is 21 years and maximum age limit is 30 years. Along with pursuing higher studies, you may try to crack the exam and if you could crack it, nothing can be better than that. In the present scenario, getting a job is very difficult with a bachelors degree but if you could crack the engineering service exam, you will be more than satisfied in your life. To know more about the exam, refer to the official website of UPSC. |
