this exam is conducted by upsc.becoming a civil servent is a very great thing
u can get lots of books for these exams and these are not the only books that will help u to crack these exams.
according to me u should follow these steps which will help u alot for IAS exams:

1. read times of india and deccan herald daily and some other news papers
   
2. have a glance over news channel daily
   
3. do some conversations with ur father,elder brothers about politics
   
4. collect 1 to 10th standard cbse text books and have look over these,these books will help u a lot
   
5. read some magazines like:competition success review.

how long one should study to get into civil services???
