UES stands for University Entry Scheme.

This is scheme of Indian Navy and Army through which candidates are selected in these wings of defence in pre final year of engineering. Biotechnology candidates are also allowed for UES. Generally Group Discussion and Personal interview is conducted by Navy and Army for selection of candidates for SSB.

Biotechnology candidates are also eligible for Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate level examination.
