sir, my name is hussain at present i am studying 3rd year 2nd semester in the branch of electrical in visakhapatnam. I want to join indian navy.But i was in confusion that i had 2 backlogs in previous semester.But i can clear those backlogs till the end this semester.Now my question is that am i eligible for indian navy to apply till 4th year 1st semester?
if my aggregate is around 55-60% can i apply?
would this backlogs will effect in joining indian navy?
please reply me.

you can apply in indian navy in month of june the online applications will be avialable by that time just go through employment news regularly after february .......well about your backlogs at the end of degree you must be neat with no backlogs .............
well backlogs in 4th year might get you in trouble

to join indian navy you have to fulfill these basic criterias:

1)you should be less than 23 years old.
2)you should be medically sound.

after you fulfill these criterias you can then give the following exams to join indian navy:

1)CDSE: it is an exam conducted for graduates by UPSC twice an year and can get more information from :

2)UES and SSC: these are the exams conducted by indian navy and you can get more information for these enteries from:

i am studying bsc [computer science] final year . i had no type writing skills . can i write the tnpsc group-1 exam.

you can go for indian navy after your graduation by writting CDSE conducted by UPSE and you can go for UES conducted by indan navy itself but you must have score 55-60% in your aggregate of the all semester.....

You can join any of defense services viz- airforce, army or navy, demand of B.TECH (Electrical engineering) graduate is more in Indian army and INS.

However, you can also join Indian army, in there technical as well as logistic cadre. You can enter through-

UES: university entry scheme, notification for it is released in employment news, firstly after applying for it you have to crack an entrance, then SSB (service selection board),which is consists of GD followed by an interview then medical fitness test.

SSC: short service commission, for 10 years which is extendable up to 14 years and later on permanent commission depending upon performance, notification for it is released in employment news, firstly after applying for it you have to crack an entrance, then SSB (service selection board),which is consists of GD followed by an interview then medical fitness test.

And few other schemes like technical entry, fast track etc.

But slight problem is that you have to score atleast 60% aggregate including all ssemesters.

Yes off course you can join Indian navy after completing you B.tech.

i'm in final year now and i want to apply for university entry scheme..
i have 2 doubts for applying to that.
first,i'm from Information and communication technology stream .. i want to know that can i apply by mentioning my branch as computer science because my branch is not mentioned anywhere...
second,in ues do we have a test before ssb or campus interview before interview...

UES notification comes only 1s in a year or twice
because when it came in july,m having holidays and cant go to college(its very far from home) to get the institute head's signature and havnt got the last sem marksheet either.

Hi, It is an Examination conducted by UPSC for entry as a Government medical practioner. It is similar to other Exams like IAS for Civil Service, CDS for defence etc.
You should be a medical graduate or Post graduate to be eligible for the Examination.

No, No need of Gymnastic body or to be an athelete to join Navy. You need to have literal common sense and a good physic to join NAvy.

Hi, No problem- you have a gap in your Engineering course if you have a valid reason. But check whether it has made you to cross the age limit. Normal preferred upper age is 23. So check for that. If not crossed, then dont worry. You are eligible for Defence entry.

Hi, yes you can join Navy.

You can apply in your final year for the UES(University Entry Scheme) in which the Notification along with the Application will appear in the Emplyment News. So keep watching the Employment news for notification.

You also have technical entry, CDS through UPSC etc. Check the UPSC website for details. There is also other entries like SSC(Staff selection commission) for direct entry. Do check the specific website of defence(army, airforce or navy) for details.

Since you are a final year student you can join the navy through technical entry.
The navy conducts the SSB exam. for this Navy personnels will come to your college and take your interview. If selected, you will be eligible to give SSB exam.
If you pass the exam, you will have training in 2 phases.
In the first phase training is of 5 days.
In the second phase, your physical fitness, medical test and group dynamics test will be conducted.
On the successful completion of these phases, you can join the navy as a naval officer.

final year engg student are allow to attain UES(university entry scheme).

through this scheme you can join in indian navy .

after qualifing UES, you are called to attain SSB exam.

at first clear your backlogs. .then you can join indian navy by passing EKT.without clearing your backlogs you can't appear for EKT.

this exam is only for pre final year engineering students.

my first suggestion is to clear all the back logs because no company allows students having backlog.

you have to submit your full document after the final selection.

if before that you are able to clear all your backlogs then you will be eligible for that .

For this exam you can go through either UES(university entry scheme) or by manually fill up the form.

After selection in Written you will be called for SSB test.

Then after selection in SSB , you will be called for join Indian navy.

& you have to clear your backlogs at the time of joining Indian navy.
other wise you will be discarded.
