hi i am gopinath.i am very doubt that can diploma holder join 3rd sem engineering directly...in engineering.please help me for given the question answer.i wate for your answer..............

Yes a diploma holder can join engineering in 3rd semester via lateral entry examination provided by various universities in our country
1. BPUT, Orissa is one of them there are very good college affiliated to it.
2. DCE Delhi
3. ANNA university

Yes you can join the engineering college in the 3rd semester directly,after completing of your diploma course.

And they are two ways to get the admission in the colleges

• by giving entrance exam
• by taking seat in management quota

If you give entrance exam,and qualify you have to pay only RS30,000 per year for the education.

If you not qualified in the exam you can get the admission in the college in management quota,were the management will take more amount of money for the education,it may be from RS75,000 to RS1,50000 per year.

So i suggest you towork hard to qualify for entrance exam,while you are in the last sem in diploma.So that you will not have any gap between your education qualification.Which makes bad impression at the time of interview.

Sure this is an option available. It is also known as the lateral entry scheme. There will be an entrance exam which you will need to appear for. Most of the colleges do keep some seats for candidates from this background. Since the seats are limited make sure to be well prepared for the exams.

the polytecnical students join directly in 3rd semester after completing their diploma with good marks score.

the polytecnical students can be apply for B.tech course and take addmission in B.tech 2nd year(3rd semester).

Regarding transfer course you meet directly to the director / principal of engineering college.

As far as i know a person should get more then 60 % for geeting admission in s.y.b.e.if your third year diploma aggregate pecrcentage is less then 60% then you will get admission in first year only. Try to improve your third year marks.

eligibility for Admission

Candidates shall have passed Diploma in Engineering awarded by the State Board of
Technical Education or equivalent and must have a minimum of 60% marks for the
Diploma.

For candidates belonging to SC/ST community a pass in the qualifying examination will be
sufficient.

Those who are appearing for the final year Diploma will be eligible to apply .

Maximum age is 28 years.

As soon as you complete your diploma course, you can join in B.E 2nd year ie 3rd semester. But there will be only few seats available in every department. you will be called lateral entry students since you join a professional degree after doing your diploma course

Through the Diploma course a candidate gets the Degree of Junior Engineer and after passing the course Diploma holders can get direct admission to the 3rd semester of engineering.

nope. There are no such provisions.
An diploma holder have to get admitted to second year bachelors degree after he has completed his diplpoma.
