sir I completed my B-tech in 2008 in electronics & communication ,currently i am working in IT industry in a MNC company.Can I elegible for M-TECH in Mathematics?
Can I elegible to appear for GATE in Mathematics?
What are colleges offer this course and what are admission procedure?
Please help me.Thanks

yes you can eligible for m tech in maths... but GATE is a test for MBA...and you can eligible also for this.. after clearing gate fill-up college forms according to your percentages.. then college members call you for GD and PI.. all the best..

As long as you are having 60% marks in aggregate or
CGPA 6.75 in 10 point scale , you are Elgible for M.Tech-Maths

(or) if you have secured 75% marks in B.Tech you can try for Direct Admission also without writing GATE exam.

If you are willing to write GATE then minimum of 300 score is essential to get M.Tech in good college.

If you are already employed, then consider doing M.Tech part time.

you can get good percentage in b.tech at leat 70% so that you are elligible candidate for gate exam.you can appear of gate exam with m.tech in maths. your choice is vallen good.this exam held on month of july 20 i.e over you can apply next time.

yes , you are elegible for gate examination and also eligible to take admission in M tech in mathematics. But i think , m tech in mathematics is not offered by IITs or NiTs , If you have interest in mathematics then you try for phd in mathematics in reputed organisation like TIFR or HJBI etc. They do offer this course.

no M.Tech can be pursued in only that stream in which you have completed your B.Tech

It is very good to know that you want to pursue higher education in Maths.

Yes of course you can do M.Tech in Mathematics and the course profile is Industrial maths with computer application.

There are IITs and IISc,Bangalore which are the top-ranked institutes to study M.Tech in Maths.

For admission in these reputed universities,you have to crack the GATE exam and you are definitely eligible for appearing at GATE.

Besides the IITs and IISc there are other good recognized institutes which do not require GATE score.

it is better to do higher studies related to your field which will leads to improve your knowledge in that field and you can shine in that area.

you can do MTech in electronics related papers.

1.VLSI.

2.CONTROL SYSTEM.

3.Robotics.

4.optical communication.

5.radio communication.

etc.

if you are an electronics student for engineering then,

then it is specified that after passing the gate exam you can do master
degree in only one particular subject.you can surely do m.tech in maths.
it is not Aprooved to some universities for m.tech in maths after b.tech from electronics branch but some universities response to it

you can do this.The course is combined with Industrial maths with computer application.
but one thing it will be better if you stay at your own line.
you can do MTech in electronics related papers.

do good in it then you can get admission into best colleges including IITies .

Bachelor's degree holders Engineering/ Technology/Architecture/Pharmacy (4 years after
10+2) and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes CAN GIVE
THIS EXAM.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is an examination administered and conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and the Indian Institutes of Technologies on behalf of the National Coordination Board – GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.

Yes sure you can take up M Tech in Maths. Most of the Universities don't take any admission test for this course also, as most people go for the M Tech in engineering.
