i am 20 years old and i want to sit in the CSAT 2011 for first hand experience.....can i?

Yes offcourse you can go for IAS exam.
Minimum education criteria = Graduate

Maximum age criteria = 28yrs (for General category and I think it is 32 years for SC/ ST categories)

CSAT 2011 exams will be conducted on 12th June. and last date of applying for the same is 21at March...

I think your not eligible for the Civil Service Aptitude Test (CSAT).
Minimum eligibility is 21 - 30 yrs.You try the Next year.
The candidates must possess a graduate degree from any recognized university.
And Those in the final year of degree course can also Eligible.

Can I answer CSAT exam at the age of 20 years?

NO,You are not eligible for Civil service Aptitude Test due to your age.You have to wait for one more year to appear in CSAT.

Eligibility Criteria for CSAT:-

You should be graduate from any Recognized university in any stream.

you age should be between 21-30 years of age.

your nationality should be Indian.

Dear friend,

To be eligible for the CSAT examination conducted by

the UPSC you should fulfill the following criteria:

1) You must have a graduation degree from a recognized
university.

2) You should have age between 21-30 years.

Since you are not satisfying the age limit criteria, you are not

eligible for the examination.

The age criteria for the CSAT will be minimum 21 year. So unfortunately you are not eligible for this exam. As this exam is conducted by upsc so you must have to graduate in any discipline.

you can not appear this year as minimum age limit for IAS- CSAT

is 21 years as on 1st august,

so you will have to wait till next year.

also the number of attempts are fixed at 4 ,7 and no limit respectively

for gen OBC and SC/ST... so dont waste your attempts without preparation esp. since

you are youg appear only if you are well prepared.

further you need to be a graduate or in final year of graduation to be eligible to appear.

You are not eligible for this year,you can try it next year,because the minimum age limit is 21 and now you are only 20 so dont warry,try next year...

Sorry to say but you are not eligible for this CSAT exam as the MIN educational qualification is 21 years of age.

Better you can take MOCK exam of the question paper after the exam from your friends.

Minimum age for the csat exam is 21 years so you are not eligible till now for the exam of CSAT.
the exam of CSAT is under taken by UPSC so the qualification required graduate with a reputed university.

The CSAT or the Civil Service Aptitude Test is conducted by the UPSC each year.
The CSAT is held for the selection of candidates as an IPS or an IAS.

The minimum Age Eligibility can be noted as follows:

Candidate must have acheived minimum 21 years of age on 1st august of the year of exam.

Since, you are only 20, you are not eligible. However, if your D.O.B is on or before 1st August, then you turn 21 by 1st August and become eligible.

Also note that the upper age limit is 30 years(33 years for OBC and 35 Years for SC/ST).

Also, dont appear for the exam for a first hand experience purpose, try only if you are genuinely interested and well prepared because, there is very tough competition for IAS and OPS and only 4 attempts are available(7 for OBC and no limit for SC/ST).
People have been trying very hard for years and not able to get through. So dont waste any opportunity just like this.
