Re: How can I become an IPS officer? How to prepare for the same?
You did not mention your highest level of academic qualification.
The minimum academic qualification that is required for the candidates in order to become IPS officer is by completion of Graduation. The selection procedure would involve CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test) Civil Services Main Exam Interview CSAT Exam is the common written exam for the candidates to be placed in all the civil services like Indian Administrative Service Indian Police Service Indian Revenue Service etc. All the candidates who have completed Graduation with any of the stream are eligible to apply for CSAT Exam. The candidates should possess the following age criteria. For General category : 21-30 years For OBC category : 21-33 years For SC or ST category : 21-35 years The candidate should be a citizen of India. If you posses the above mentioned criteria, you can apply for CSAT Exam. If you have not completed your Graduation, I suggest you to complete it first. Wish you all the best. |
