Can I appear for IAS Exam having done BCA from IGNOU?
I have done bca from ignou i can do preparation for ias(civil services).
i am interested in this course. |

eligibility criteria for appearing in IAS exam that you should completed your graduation in any subject from a recognised university age eligibility for ias exam is you should be in betwenen 21 to 30 yrs of age so as you have completed your BCA you can surely appear for the exam . since u have done ur graduation from a recognized university..u can apply for IAS..u have a maximum of 4 attempts and ur age must be within 21 to 30 years..

for appearing in this exam you must to complete your graduation in any stream from any recognized university. and IGNOU is the recognized one. hence you are totally eligible for appear in this exam, which is conducted by UPSC as civil service examination.for this exam the age limit exist 21-30 years for general candidates.

Yes, you can appear in IAS exam.. As you have done your BCA course from IGNOU.Which is a recognized open university.. Eligibility for IAS exam:- *The candidate must have complete the graduation in any trade from a recognized university. *The candidate should not have any due backlogs during the graduation.. *The candidates age should be in between 21-30 years.. For SC/ST the age relaxation is 5 years, and for OBC the age relaxation is 3 years.. The aspiring candidates have to fulfill all these criteria.. So, as you have done your BCA course then you are eligible to appear in IAS exam.. All the best.. |

Definitely,you can appear for Indian Administration Service exam this year and make sure that your age lies between 21 to 30 years,then you can appear for exam.And their only limited attempts for General Category and OBC category candidates,so prepare well and attempt for exam.
Number of attempts for IAS exam: 4 attempts for General Category candidates 7 attempts for OBC category candidates Unlimited attempts for sc/st category candidates Indian Administration Service exam contents 3-phase of exam i.e Preliminary exam,Main exam and last but not least is Interview. If you able crack preliminary exam,then only you can appear for Main exam,otherwise you have try again for preliminary exam until you qualify.In the same manner for Main exam to attend interview. Indian Administration Service(preliminary exam) notification for this year: Issue of application form from 4th Feb 2012 to 5th March 2012. Exam will held on 20th May 2012. Indian Administration Service(Main exam) notification for this year: Exam will held on 5th Oct 2012. Issue of application form will be announced after the Preliminary exam. Hai,
IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service. UPSC conducting this exam every year once. Eligibility criteria:- The candidate should have to complete graduation in any stream from a recognised university. Percentage is not required for this exam. Final year graduation persuing candidates also eligible. The applicant must be a citizen of India. Age criteria:- The applicants age should be in between 21 years to 30 years. 3 years upper age relaxation for OBC category candidates, 5years upper age relaxation for SC/ST candidates. Selection process:- Civil Services Preliminary examination, Civil Services Mains examination, Personal Interview.
