Can I apply for IAS Exam having completed MCA and working as a Software Engineer?
Hi,
I have completed my M.C.A and presently working as a software Engineer in Mindtree Ltd Bangalore, I am interested in I.A.S so can i Aaply for this? |

Yes, my friend you can appear in IAS exam, but first you have to fulfill some eligibility criteria... The eligibility criteria for appearing in IAS exam- *One must have complete the graduation or post graduation in any trade.. *One should not have any due backlogs. *The candidates age should be in between 21-30years... For SC/ST the age relaxation is 5years. and For OBC the age relaxation is 3years... As you have completed the MCA course then you satisfy the educational qualification , now if your age is below 30years then you can surely appear in IAS exam.. So, go for it... All the best.. |

Ya you are eligible for ias. The eligibility is graduation in any stream. Age limit is 21 to 30years. The exams are conducted by union public service commission. Generally 4 attempts are allowed. All the best

The minimum academic qualification for appearing in IAS exam is that the person must have a bachelor's degree in any field from a recognised university.
Also he/she must be a citizen of India. The age limit for general candidates is 21 to 30 years. The age limit for OBC candidates is 21 to 33 years. The age limit for SC/ST candidates is 21 to 35 years. General category candidates can give maximum 4 attempts. OBC candidates can give maximum 7 attempts. SC/ST candidates can give any number of attempts within age limit. These criteria are for both male and female candidates. Since, you have done MCA, you must have a bachelor's degree. If you fullfil all other above mentioned criteria, then you are eligible for IAS. |
