hey i m doing BCA rite now n latter i will be doing MCA. so after completing ma masters will i be considered a software engineer or should i do M.Tech software engineering to become a Professional software engineer? help me out plz

You can surely apply for software engineering jobs after MCA from a recognized university.

If you want to do M.Tech. in computer science field then you can do it after completion

of MCA. You can't apply for M.Tech. just after BCA.

Almost all major software companies do recruit MCA for the post of software executives

which is offered to B.Tech. graduates.

You will have to apply off campus bacuase mostly companies don't recruit MCA on campus.

You can apply in TCS, Wipro, Infosys etc all major companies.

The eligibility criteria for job in these companies is generally throughout 60% academics

i.e. 60% in 10th,12th,Graduation and Post Graduation.

After MCA you become a soft ware engineer ,you don't have to do M.tech.

Hi,

After completing your BCA degree, You can go for BCA.... But it is not possible for you to for M.Tech. Because M.Tech can be done by those people who pursue BE or B.Tech..
So, i suggest you to go for MCA... Because there is a high demand for MCA for software engineer in many big companies.... If you want to pursue MCA in best colleges of the country, write exams called AIMCET conducted by IIT.
This score will give you chances to study in best colleges...

You can not be a software engineer right after doing BCA...but you may get job in companies in some lower posts.

so its always better to do MCA or M.tech..

since you are a BCA student , its better to do MCA.

because to do M.tech, you have to complete a masters degree and BCA is a bachelor's degree.

so I would suggest you to go for MCA.

MCA and M.tech, both get job as a software engineer.

You are eligible for MCA just after complition of BCA.

Just after BCA you are not eligible for directly apply for M.Tech.

You can apply for M.Tech after comlition of MCA.

After M.Tech you are eligible for software company exam.

you can apply for TCS.Infosys and other company.

Eligibility criteria for thes company is min 60% marks in 10th,12th and graduation.

Since you have a BCA qualification you are eligible to pursue only the MCA course. The MCA course is normally considered equivalent to the B.Tech course in the software field. You will have better opportunities on completion of the MCA course. Also if you still desire for an M.Tech qualification then you can pursue the same after the MCA course. You also have the option to go in for short term programming course for specialisation purpose.

It’s good if you join any software company after BCA degree otherwise after completing MCA. In India and abroad there are lot of IT and software companies which are recruiting the BCA or MCA candidate you can find and apply in that companies. most of the leading software company give eligibility criterion that candidates should have minimum of 60% marks through out their career to appear in their recruitment process.

but unfortunately you don't have 60% marks in B.Tech. it means you will not be eligible for leading IT company. but don't worry there are so many company also for which there are no minimum marks criterion. you will be eligible foe this type of company. try to find any small and new software company so that you can start your career. after few years of experience try to shift in other large company with your experience.

but now you should have very good knowledge in programming and other software related subject to become a software engineer. try to learn more programming language and also do some software related project. these will help you a lot to get a job in software field.

mca is needed

if you want to become a good software engg. then you should apply for the MCA.
this is a post graducate course.. you get a better advantages of this course ..you also prefer this course..

After completion of your BCA degree you are eligible for some software company like TCS ,CTS ,IBM ,WIPRO ,INFOSYS.

But you cant join in position of software developer .

So you can try for MCA because after this you have lots of chance for govt and private sector both.

You can't apply direct to M-TECH degree after completion of your MCA degree you are for M-TECH course.

Friend you have done BCA (BAchelor of computer application) so you go for MCA (Master of computer application). Master's degree always take you to some good salary package and if it is in the same field of bachelor's degree then it would be very good.
After MCA you have the following job:
software programmer
software tester
software engineer
software developer
software analyst
software consultant
software application architect
So you don't have to worry you will have the above options.

If you are doing your bca graduation degree than its very good for you to

choose MCA after bca.Its the best option for you after bca and there is so

much scope for you in IT sector after MCA.So you should choose MCA.You

can also do any course along with mca which will be very helpful for your

future.So choose any perticular field which you have more interest.


Mtech is also a very good option but its not good as compare to MCA.

Hi, to become s/w engineer, company hires BCA student too but Having MCA degree you will get better job in all aspects.
and for doing M.Tech you should first complete MCA then you will be eligible for it.
