You are now in in 3rd year of Engineering degree , so you are not applicable for IBPS PO or Clerk Exam. If you have completed B-Tech degree , then only you are eligible for IBPS PO and clerk Exam .I have discussed below the eligibility for IBPS PO and Clerk Exam. If you have completed graduation degree OR if you have completed diploma degree then you are applicable for IBPS CLERK Exam. Re: Can I apply for IBPS PO or Clerk exam after doing engineering 3rd year?
Firstly I don't think that Engineering student should apply for the banking jobs through IBPS exams. What is the point of doing engineering if you wanted a bank job. Why don't you try something similar to your course.
You can apply for job in Public Sector Undertaking to appear in the Indian Engineering Service exam. I don't see why you should apply for the banking jobs. However if you are only interested in banking job, then you will have to wait till completing graduation. Currently you are in the third year of Engineering. You can only apply after completing the course which means after the fourth year. In case you apply for the Institute of Banking Personnel Services exams. May I recommend that you appear for the IBPS Bank PO Exam and not the IBPS Clerk exam. IBPS Bank PO Eligibility 1. Only citizens of India can apply. 2. A graduation degree in any stream is required. 3. There is no percentage requirement. 4. The age limit is 20 to 30 years. 5. There is 3 years relaxation for OBC. 6. Upto 5 years relaxation for SC/ST. 7. Upto 10 years relaxation for PWD candidate. Re: Can I apply for IBPS PO or Clerk exam after doing engineering 3rd year?
Hi
As you're into your 3rd year of engineering, you are eligible for giving the IBPS clerical exam, but you're not eligible for giving the PO exam as you do not meet the eligibility criteria. For giving the clerical exam, you should be a 12th pass and your age should be between 18-28 years of age. Whereas for giving the PO exam, you should be a graduate from any stream with an aggregate of 60% marks and your age should be in between 21-30 years. Gud luck |
