Right now your age is 16 year. so you are not eligible for NDA exam because you are underage but If at the time of notification your age will be 16.5 year then you can apply for for this exam because 16.5 is the minimum age limit.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidate should be completed /appearing 12th with subject maths and physics

Age of the candidate should be 16.5 to 19year.
candidate must be male and unmarried
female candidate are not eligible for NDA exam
candidate should be Indian

Date of notification= 04/05/2013
Last date of receiving application= 03/06/2013
Date of examination= 11/08/2013

no dear you cannot apply for the NDA exam as you are only 16 years of age.
for GATE exam the eligibility is of 16.5 to 19 years.
So you should apply for the NDA-2 exam which is conducted in August to be eligible.
at that time you will be eligible.

Iam sorry to say this you are not eligible for NDA exam, as per your educational qualification you are eligible but the minimum age limit is 16.5years so at the of 16 years you are not eligible for NDA.

Eligibility criteria:-

Percentage is not important to apply this exam.

For indian navy and airforce you need to complete 12th standard with PCM subjects but no need for Indian army.

You must be a citizen of india.

You must be physically fit.

Only unmarried male candidates are eligible i.e Girls are not eligible.

The age limits are 16.5 years to 19 years.

Eligibility For NDA

National Defence Academy(NDA) Exam is conducted every year by the UPSC in the months of April and August for recruitment of candidates to the following wings :-

>> Indian Army
>> Indian Air Force
>> Indian Navy

Candidates appearing for the NDA Exam must satisfy the following eligibility criterion :-

>> candidate must be within the age limit of 16.5-19 years..between 2nd January,1995 and 1st July,1997..

>> candidate must be an unmarried male..

>> candidate must be an Indian national..

>> candidate must have completed 12th from a recognized board (with Physics and Maths as subjects for Air force or Navy)

If you are born within the above mentioned date then only you are eligible for appearing for the NDA-1 2013 exam otherwise you will have to appear for the NDA-2 2013 in August..

The written exam of the NDA consists of 2 tests :-

>> general ability test
>> maths

Candidates need to clear the following rounds in order to get into the NDA :-

NDA stands for National Defence Academy .This examination is conducted by UPSC Twice in a year for the Recruitment of Army, Naval and Air Force Wings .

If you have completed 12th standard from science background then you are applicable for all post conducted by NDA .But commerce and Arts stream are applicable only Indian army post.Final year of 12th standard candidate are also applicable.

As per education qualification you are applicable for NDA exam .

Yes you can apply to NDA & NA Exams after 12th PCM,but since
your age is 16yrs you have to wait for sometime before applying.
Minimum age to apply to NDA Exams is 16.5yrs.
UPSC conducts the NDA & NA Exams.
UPSC NDA Exams is conducted twice a year for candidates.
Candidates are selected for recruitment in the Army,Airforce and Navy
wing of the defence services exam as Officers.

Eligibilty for the NDA & NA Exams :

Age Limit :
Unmarried Indian males only in the age group of 16.5-19yrs can apply.

Maximum age- 19 years

No relaxation of age limit for any category.

For the next NDA exams Candidates born between 2nd January 1995 to 1st July 1997 can apply.

Educational Qualification :
Army Wing-12th Class Pass/Equivalent in any stream from a recognised Board/Equivalent.

Airforce Wing-12th Pass with Physics and Maths as subjects from a recognised Board/Equivalent.

Navy Wing-12th Pass with Physics and Maths as subjects from a recognised Board/Equivalent.

Exam Scheme :
Selection Procedure involves:-

Mathematics-300 marks
General ability Test-600 marks

Total Marks for Written Test-900 marks

>> SSB interview-900 marks
