You are not eligible to apply for the NDA exam . As the minimum education qualification they required is 10+2 examination passed or has appeared in the 10+2 examination.

So better option for you to complete your graduation degree then you can apply for CDS exam.

The details of NDA and CDS exam is given below-

If you have completed 10+2 standard from recognized board then you are applicable for NDA exam.
But your age should be in between 16.5 to 19 years.

Only unmarried male candidate are applicable for NDA exam.You must have citizenship of India.

CDS stands for Combined Defence Service . UPSC Conduct CDS Examination for twice in a year .

Educational Qualification:-

1. For I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy : Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.

2. For Indian Naval Academy : Degree in Engineering for CDSE and Degree in Engineering or B.Sc. ( with Physics or Mathematics ) for NCC entry.

3. For Air Force Academy : Degree of recognized University ( with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level ) or Bachelor of Engineering.

Age Criteria:-

Indian Military Academy: - 19-24 Years
Air Force Academy: - 19-23 Years
Naval Academy: - 19-22 Years
Officer's Training Academy: - 19-25 Years

Unmarried candidate are applicable for CDS exam.You must have citizenship of India .

The acronym for CDS is Combined Defence Services.

Sorry to say that you cannot apply for NDA examination.

The eligibility criteria required for the NDA examination are prescribed as below:-

* Completion of 12th with PCM for Air Force/Navy and Commerce for Army from any approved board.

* Age limit- 16.5-19 yrs.

* Sex- Male.

* Marital status- Unmarried.

* Nationality- Indian.

* Physically and mentally fit.

The eligibility criteria required for the CDS examination are prescribed as below:-

* Completion of graduation from any recognised college or university.

* Age limit- 19-22 yrs for Navy.
19-23 yrs for Air Force.
19-24 yrs for Army/Military Academy.
19-25 yrs for Officer's Training Academy.

* Sex- Both male and female.

* Marital status- Single.

* Nationality- Indian.

* Physically and mentally fit.

After passing Diploma you are eligible to apply for NDA(National Defence Academy) conducted by UPSC twice every year to join Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian unmarried Male having either appear for the final 12th/diploma exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board/Institution within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical and Mental Fitness.

But after Diploma you are not eligible to apply for CDS(Combined Defence Service) conducted by UPSC twice every year. The candidate having Graduation Degree is eligible for CDS.

In order to appear in this you will require to meet these Eligibility criteria :-

FOR NDA

Nationality - Indian.

Educational qualification :-

-Group X trades in Indian Air Force as you are Diploma holder.

-Junior Engineer post in MES (Military Engineering Services).

You are in Diploma that means you are already a 12th pass candidate and hence if you clear the eligibility criteria then you can go for NDA but i think you will loose the eligibility at age limit.

Eligibility :-

1. 16.5-19 years of age
2. No relaxation
3. Only Males candidate can apply
4. Only Indian citizen are eligible
5. Only unmarried candidate are eligible
6. Maths and Physics should be compulsory subject
7. NDA is conducted twice in a year
See if you are completing the criteria then you can still go for NDA otherwise you next option is open to you.

CDS :- CDS is also same as NDA. Here also candidates are also recruited as officer in Indian Armed forces. But you said you have completed your diploma so its better you complete your degree first as it is the most important criteria to be fulfilled.

age= 19-24
Indian Citizen
Graduation from a recognized university

I am sorry to say that you are eligible for N.D.A and C.D.S after passing Diploma Course.

N.D.A and C.D.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.

For N.D.A exam you have pass 12th with any stream from recognized board.
Age limit for N.D.A exam is 16.5-19 year.

For C.D.S you have to pass graduation with any stream from recognized university.

Age limit for C.D.S exam is 19-24 year.

NO, you cannot apply for the NDA exams just by passing the Diploma course.

You need to fulfil the below minimum eligibilty criteria setup by UPSC to apply to the NDA exams.

Educational Qualifications:
Army Wing-12th Pass in any stream
Navy & Airforce Wing- 12th Pass with Subject Physics and Maths as subjects.

AGE-
Minimum age 16.5 years
Maximum age- 19 years

Only Unmarried Male candidates can apply

NDA :- A Candidate must have completed their 12th science with atleast 60% from recognise board....

CDS :- A candidate should have completed their graduation with atleast 50% from Recognized Universities...

Age Limit :-

NDA :- 16.5 to 19 years...

CDS :- Indian Military Academy : 19-24 Years , Air Force Academy : 19-23 Years , Naval Academy : 19-22 Years , Officers’ Training Academy :19-25 Years....

Only Unmarried Male can Apply for NDA....
