In order to undergo training at National Defense Academy to join Indian Army as an Lieutenant, the aspirant must, first of all, qualify the higher secondary level of examination from a recognized board.
After qualifying the higher secondary level of examination, aspirants need to write and qualify NDA Exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission.
The examination is conducted twice a year and apart from having qualified the higher secondary examination, aspirants must be within the age limit of 16 1/2 - 19 years.
Those who successfully qualify the NDA Exam are considered eligible for admission into National Defense Academy. The duration of the training program at National Defense Academy is 3 years and 6 months.

In order to become a Lieutenant you have to join Indian Army after 12th through NDA entrance exam.

NDA - NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY exam conducted by UPSC twice every year as NDA-I and NDA-II for entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.

The candidate must be an unmarried Indian male having either appearfor the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical and Mental health.

As you are a student of 11th Arts stream, you are eligible to apply for Indian Army of NDA after 12th.

The selection is through written exam followed by personal interview along with Physical Fitness and Medical Test.
