NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY ELIGIBILITY

Yes, students less than 19 years are eligible for NDA exam.. The eligibility criteria for NDA exam are as follows...


-> Candidate must be a citizen of India.

-> Candidate must cleared 10 +2 education.

-> Candidates who are currently doing their 12th std can also apply.

-> For Navy and Air Force candidate must have Physics and Maths subject in 12th std.

-> Age Limit - More than 16 1/2 years and less than 19 years as on 1st January 2011.

-> Physically and Medically fit according to the requirements.


POINTS TO NOTE :

-> The last date for submitting the form is over by November 2010.

-> The exam is going to be conducted on 18th April 2011.

-> If you have not applied now, then you can attend only by next year and am afraid whether you will be less than 19 years by next year if you are in 12th std now..

NDA exam:
Age Limits: 16 ½ – 19 years

(Age limit is counted such that the you should not cross the age of 19 & 1/2 till the date of commencement of course which is 01 July for every year)

Yes you can apply for the exam because the age limit is 16 1/2-19yrs.

A candidate must be an unmarried male and have attained the age of 16 1/2 years and must not have attained the age 19 years on the 1st January or 1st of July of the year succeeding the year of examination.

Can I apply for NDA exam of this year if my age is 19 years

NDA stands for National Defence Academy and is conducted twice a year by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission). The basic eligibility criteria for appearing in NDA exam are as follows :

AGE CRITERIA
16.5 to 19 years as on 1st january of year of exam.

Educational Qualification

The candidate must have passed at least 10+2 with physics and maths for appearing in air force and navy.

Since your date of birth is 4th November 1992 so your date after exact 19 years are 4th November 2011.Since on 1st January your age had crossed 19 which prevents you from being eligible for this exam.

Don’t worry because you can appear in cds exam after completing your graduation.

National Defence Academy (NDA), which is conducted by UPSC , requred age limit between 16.5years-19years.

But you have 4 manth over this requred age limit so you are not eligibile for NDA .

So, as per the age eligiblity criteria, you are not eligible to apply for NDA examination, So please try some other examination.

Educational Qualifications -

For Army wing of National Defence Academy - 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy - 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equilvalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

Well appearing for the NDA exam you have to be in the range of 16 1/2 years to 19 years, so if you have pass 19 years as on 1st August,2011 you are not qualified,

You can try in CDS exam..Prepare well..

As per as your Doubt You are Eligible as your date of Birth comes in November and your Year is on 92 there fore .
For NDA I and NDA II you are Eligible .

The NDA or the National Defence Academy exam is conducted by the UPSC for selection of candidates into the various defence forces.

The eligibility conditions are:

Candidate must have passed Higher Secondary from a recognized board.
Students appearing for the board exams cam also apply.
Candidates applying for Navy or Air Force must have Mathematics and physics as compulsory subjects.

Sorry but you are not eligible for NDA examination for NDA the age should be in between 16 1/2 to 19 years at the time of commencement of training.

As you are already 19 years before the examination itself so you are not eligible for NDA examination.

Instead of it you can enter into the armed forces or flying branch of the indian airforce even after completing your graduation with minimum of 60%.

And The Next NDA IInd Exams is Likely To Be Held On 21st Aug 2011.

Notification declared on 9th April 2011.

-Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. Certificate of eligibility will not, however, be necessary in the case of candidates who are Gorkha subjects of Nepal.

You must have a minimum 16.5 years and maximum 19 years and there is no relaxation given to the reserved categories .

So according to this criteria you have already surpassed the required age so you are not eligible for appearing in the exam.

~> You can appear in this exam, only if your Date of Birth lies between the Range mentioned in the Notification of NDA Exam.

~> Recently, NDA-II Exam was conducted on 19 August 2012 and mentioned range of DOB was 2nd July, 1994 and not later than 1st January, 1997.

~> As your DOB is out of Range, so you were not eligible for this exam.

~> Also, you will not be eligible in the coming years because the range will shift to 6 months forward.
