Candidates who are appearing in the 12th class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination

NDA(National Defence Academy) is conducted two times every year i.e. NDA-I and NDA-II.This exam is conducted by the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission).

Educational Qualifications:
•Completion of 12th with PCM from any accredited board.
•Completion of 12th with Arts and Commerce for Army wing.

AGE LIMIT: 16 ½ to 19 yrs as of first day of the month in which course is due to commence.
* Sex:- Male.
* Nationality:- Indian.
* Marital status:- Unmarried or single.
* Physically and mentally fit.

Pass in 12th is the basic qualification for joining defense. Students who have appeared for 12th class exam or those who are awaiting results can also apply. Age of the candidate must fall between 16 1/2 and 19 years. Those having studied physics and mathematics as subjects can join to any of three wings of army. So it would be better for you to apply in class 12th.
The minimum educational requirement for this examination is a 10+2 degree from a recognized board.
Through this NDA (NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY) examination, one can apply for the -
1. INDIAN AIR FORCE (IAF)
2. INDIAN NAVAL ACADEMY (NA)
3. INDIAN MILITARY ACADEMY (IMA).

If you are a IAF or NA aspirant, you must have Physics & Maths in 12th standard. Otherwise, you can only apply for the IMA .
