my date of birth is 8 july 1993 can i give an nda exam?

The required age limit for the candidate to be eligible for NDA Exam is 16 1/2 years to 19 years.

As you are a candidate with a date of birth 08-07-1993, you are going to complete 19 years by 08-07-2012.

Your age should not be more than 19 years by 1st July of this year to be eligible for NDA II Exam.

As per this age criteria, you are eligible to give NDA II Exam of this academic year.

Remember one thing. This is last and final chance for you to take NDA Exam. You are not at eligible to take NDA I Exam of upcoming year.

So, put your best efforts and crack this Exam.

Here I am providing you the important dates for this Exam.

Date of commencement of notification : 05-05-2012
Last date for the submission of completed application forms : 04-06-2012
Date of NDA II Exam : 19-08-2012

You can get the application forms for this exam from the designated post offices all over India.

Better to start preparation for this Exam from a Coaching Institute which will increase your chances of getting through this exam.

With the date of birth of 08.07.1993 you are only eligible to apply for NDA-II 2012 exam as you will be over the maximum age of 19 years after this.


NDA-NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY exam conducted by UPSC twice every year as NDA-I and NDA-II for entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.

The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years of age with good Physical and Mental health.

The age eligibility for NDA-II 2012 exam is one should not be more than 19 years as on 01.07.2012 and you are crossing 19 years as on 08.07.2012, this is your last chance to appear for NDA.

Otherwise you may appear for CDS(Combined Defence Service) exam after Graduation if you are at all interested for defence service.

So you are eligible for the exam only in this year . Later you will not be eligible .
So don't miss this chance .

Actually NDA-I exam is over in this year .
But another NDA exam is there i.e., NDA-II . You can go for it .
