Can I get promoted to 5th semester with 5 backlogs in BTech 4th semester?


Respected Sir, I am a 2nd year student of BTech course. But unfortunately I have 5 backlogs in my 4th semester. In this case I am eligible to get promoted to 5th semester or not? Please help me to know about this. Thank you!

Promoting to next semester varies from university to university.

In AKTU, Lucknow, if you fulfill the required credits for a particular year, then you will be promoted for next semester. Otherwise, there will be Year Back and you won't be able to go in next semester.

In Universities like Savitribai Phule Pune University, you will have to clear all backlogs of the current year, then only you will be promoted to next semester.

So, it depends on university in which you are studying. You can contact to your teachers or seniors for more information regarding this.
