i am student of B.Tech final year from Electronics & Communication branch.so, can i give the exam of IAS?

Yes. You are eligible to give IAS Exam in order to join IAS but you should be to show the proof of passing in Engineering when you appear for Interview.

Here is the selection procedure that you need to crack to become IAS Officer.

-Civil Services Aptitude Test
-Civil Services Main Exam
-Interview

One should be a candidate who have completed Graduation in order to be eligible to apply for CSAT Exam.

This Entrance Exam is not only for to join IAS.

This is the common entrance exam which will let the candidates to be placed in various civil services like
-Indian Administrative Service
-Indian Police Service
-Indian Foreign Service etc.

The candidate should be a citizen of India to apply for this exam.

Age criteria :
-Candidates of General category should be in the age group of 21-30 years.
-Relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category.
-For the candidates of SC or ST category, the relaxation in upper age limit is 4 years.
-The candidates with physical disabilities can take this exam upto 40 years.

It is not so easy to crack this exam as there is huge competition among the candidates to crack this exam.

Your preparation should be extraordinary to be placed in civil services.
