After passing 12th standard if
you have interest to become IPS
officer in future then you need to
complete Graduation degree
course in any stream.

IPS: Indian Police Service

After completing Graduation
degree course, you need to
appear in Civil Service
Examination conducted by UPSC
for recruitment to various civil
services of the Government of
India like IPS/IAS/IFS etc..

BASIC ELIGIBILITY for UPSC Civil
Service Exam:
Must have graduation degree in
any discipline.
Must be an Indian Citizen.
Both Male & Female are eligible to
apply for this Exam.
Must have Age between 21 to 33
years for General category, 21 to
35 for OBC & 21 to 35 for SC/ST.

PHYSICAL STANDARD Necessary
for IPS: min. hight for women(in general)-157 cm and men- 165

UPSC CIVIL SERVICE EXAM is
divided into two Stages:-

-Prelim(CSAT, Civil Service Aptitude
Test)

No, you are not eligible to give IPS exam after completing 12th class.

IPS stand for Indian Police Services.

Indian Police Services exam which is held by Union public service commission under Civil Services exam in every year.

If you want to apply Civil Services exam then you have passed graduation degree from any recognized university or college.

Educational and age requirement:-

Candidate should be a citizen of India/ Nepal/ Bhutan and completed graduation degree in any disciple to apply Civil Services exam.

Age should be between 21 years to 30 years but the age is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST category candidates and 3 years for OBC category candidates.
