Sir I complete my 12th. Can I give exam for ips....could u please give me the details

Selection of candidates to IPS is made on the basis of the score obtained in civil services examination. You can’t appear for civil services examination with 12th class qualification. Graduation is the minimum qualification required. Subject studied and percentage of marks obtained is not a criterion. Your age must be between 21 and 30 years. Civil services examination is usually conducted by UPSC in the month of May.

Sorry , you are not eligible for IPS exam after completing 12th std. because minimum education qualification is graduation degree in any stream....

IPS stands for the Indian Police Service


This exam is Conducted every year only one time by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission)......


Eligibility and Criteria :-

A candidate must have completed their Graduation Study in any Discipline from Recognized Universities are eligible for this exam....

Final year of graduation degree students also eligible for this exam.

There is no any percentages criteria.....

A candidate must be an Indian....


Age Limit :-

General category student:- 21-30 years.

OBC category student:- 21- 33 years.

SC/ST category student:- 21-35 years.


No. Attempt:-


General - 4 Attempts.

OBC - 7 Attempts.

SC/ST - No Attempt Restriction.
