Can I join CS after completing my graduation...could u please provide to me the details

Institute of Company Secretaries of India(ICSI) is the institute which is responsible for conducting exams for the COMPANY SECRETARY COURSES.

The Company Secretary Course Comprises of three Courses.They are


1.Foundation Course


2.Executive Course


3.Professional Course

- One is supposed to qualify the 1st Course to be eligible for 2ND Course and to qualify the 2ND course to be eligible for 3rd course.


Eligibility Criteria for CS :-




- You should pass in 12Th in any Stream from any recognized board for Foundation Course.


- If you are a Graduate,you can directly enter in to Executive Course.


- Generally the entrance exams are conducted in the month of August/September.

YES, you can join the CS course after completing your Graduation.
You can straightaway get admission in the Executive level of the CS course.

Eligibilty to give the Executive level (Intermediate) :
Graduation Pass or Foundation course pass of the ICSI

Fees for this level is Rs 7750
Exam fees is Rs 1800

Time taken to complete this stage is 12 months

You have to take admission by 31st August 2013 for giving the term end exams in June 2014

There are 7 papers that you have to give in the Executive level

Module 1
>> Economic and Commercial Laws
>> Cost and Management accounting
>> Tax Laws and Practice
>> Company Laws

Module 2
>> Company Accounts and Auditing Practices
>> Industrial, General and Labour Laws
>> Capital Markets and Securities Law

C.S. stands for Company Secretary.

The C.S. exam consists of three stages:

>>Foundation Course
>>Executive Course
>>Professional Course

The minimum Qualification required for all these above courses:

>>Foundation course: The candidate must be 12th passed in commerce stream.

>>Executive Course : The candidate must complete Foundation course. The graduated candidates are also eligible.

>> Professional Course : The candidate must complete his/her Executive course.

The examination are conducted every year twice, in the months of June and December.
