Can I join Indian Air Force being a BTech Civil girl candidate?


Respected Sir, I am a girl candidate and I am studying BTech in Civil Engineering. I have an interest to join Indian Air Force. So, can I eligible to join Indian Air Force as I am a girl candidate?

Yes, you are eligible for recruitment as an officer in Indian Air Force after B.Tech degree.

Girls candidates are eligible to appear for AFCAT examination. It is conducted by Indian Air Force.

Candidates after qualifying for both stages ( written and AFSB ) will become eligible for recruitment as an officer in Indian Air Force.

The age limit is 19-24 years. Only unmarried candidates are eligible.

No, you are not eligible to join Indian Air Force after completion of your B.Tech course being a female candidate. To be eligible to join Indian Air Force, you have to appear in UPSC CDS examination. Only unmarried male candidates who have passed Bachelor's degree course in any discipline with Mathematics and Physics subjects at 12th standard level are eligible to apply for CDS examination. The age criteria required to apply for CDS examination is 19 to 24 years. You should be physically and mentally fit. So, being a female candidate, you are not eligible to appear in CDS examination for joining in Indian Air Force.

You can apply for Air Force Common Admission Test and Combined Defence Services to join Indian Air Force.

Through AFCAT, you can join either flying branch, technical branch or ground duty branch.

The age limit is 20-24 years for flying branch, 20-26 years for ground duty branch. B.Tech candidates eligible for all branches.

In CDS, the age limit is 19-23 years.

Both exams have written test and Service Selection Board.

Engineer have scope in Indian Air Force. Civil Engineers can also apply for Air Force Common Admission Test and Combined Defense Services.

AFCAT is conducted by Air Force twice every year by Indian Air Force for selection of candidates into different branches like Flying Branch, Technical Branch and Ground Duty Branch. You are eligible for all branch. You can apply for branch as per your interest.

To join Indian Air Force, you will have to clear written test and SSB.

Yes, it is possible to join Air Force after completing B.Tech in Civil Engineering being a girl candidate.

You have to apply for CDS examination which is conducted by UPSC to join Air Force under the age of 24 years. If your age is above than 24 years then you can not apply for it.

Being a female candidate holding B.Tech in Civil engineering degree you are eligible to join Indian Air force through AFCAT ( Air force Common Admission Test ).

* The basic qualifications required for appearing in AFCAT are as hereunder:-

i) You must be an Indian citizen.

ii) Your age must lie within 20 years to 24 years for flying branch and 20 years to 26 years for ground duty and technical branch.

iii) You must have completed your bachelor degree with at least 60% marks from a recognized university. Also, you must have studied Mathematics and Physics at your Class 12th level. To be eligible for flying branch job a candidate is required to hold B.E./B.Tech degree from a recognized university.

iv) You must hold the physical fitness as per the service requirement norms.

Yes, you can join Indian Air Force being a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering candidate. AFCAT is conducted by Indian Air Force for recruitment to candidates into different branches.

Engineering candidates are eligible for all branches namely, Flying branch, Technical branch and Ground duty branch. The age criteria for Flying branch is 20-24 years and that for Ground duty is 20-26 years.

Unmarried female candidates can also apply for Combined Defence Services exam.

Technical branch:

The age limit apply for the technical branch is 18 to 28 years and women can apply for the Aeronautical stream if they have specialised in electronics and mechanical stream during graduation. The candidate should have completed BTech or equivalent. Minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all the papers. The height of the women applying to this branch should be at least 152 cm and the weight of the candidate should be correlated.


Ground duty branches:

candidates who have completed graduation, LLB, CA etc. Can apply for suitable post in Indian Airforce and women have the option to join Administration and Logistics. Graduates applying for this section should have secured minimum 60% marks in aggregate and there should be in between 21 to 23 years. Height should be minimum 152 centimetres.

Women have the option to join Administration and logistics accounts or education in Air Force.

Administration and Logistics:

Graduates applying for this section should have secured minimum 60% marks in aggregate and then it should be between 21 to 23 years .
Post graduates applying should have secured minimum 50% marks in aggregate and their age should be between 20 to 25 years.

Education:

Any post graduate can apply if they have secured minimum 50% and then age is in between 20 to 27 years.
Women applying for this post should have minimum height of 152 cm


Technical Branch:

The age limit to apply for the technical branch is 18 to 28 years and women can apply for the Aeronautical stream if they have specialised in electronics and mechanical stream during graduation. The height of the womens applying to this branch should be at least 152 cm.

The best job opportunities for girls in Indian Air Force is through AFCAT exam. For this exam, both male and female candidates are eligible to apply. AFCAT stands for Air Force Common Admission Test and is held twice every year.

Through this exam recruitment to different branches of Indan Air Force is done:

Flying Branch: Age limit is 19 to 24 years.

Technical Branch: Age limit is 19 to 25 years.

Ground Branch: Age limit is 19 to 26 years.

Engineering candidates are eligible for all the branches mentioned above. After completion of Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering, you can apply for AFCAT exam when notification is released. Written Test and SSB are conducted for final selection of candidates.

Female candidate are eligible to join Indian Air Force through Air Force Common Admission Test. It is conducted twice ever year by Indian Air Force for recruitment of candidates into different branches of Air Force like Technical Branch, Ground Duty and Flying Branch.

Engineers are eligible for all three branches. There is enough safety for female candidates in Indian Air Force and you need not worry regarding safety. The final selection is dependent upon candidate's performance in Written Test and Service Selection Board.

To join Indian Air Force, being a final year candidate of BTech degree course you need to qualify CDS (Combined Defence Services) entrance examination or AFCT( Air Force Common Admission Test) .

Further for appearing in this examination you need to be an Indian national with your age lying in between 19 years to 24 years for joining through CDS.

Further for joining through AFCT your age need to lie with 20 years to 24 years for joining flying branch where as for joining ground duty it should lie within 20 years to 26 years.

You can definitely join Indian Air Force after the completion of engineering. For girls, there are three ways to join Indian Air force through AFCT examination.

The three ways are:-

Ground Duty Branch
Flying Branch
Technical Branch

Since, you are pursing your BTech course, you can apply for the Flying Branch and Ground Duty Branch.

Candidates those who have completed their BTech course from a recognised University can apply for the Flying Branch and Ground Duty Branch.

You must have scored a minimum of 60% of marks in BTech course to be eligible.
