Sorry to say this a diploma candidate can not eligible for Indian navy, because diploma is not equal to 12th standard. The details are given below. To join in indian you need to appear NDA(National Defence Academy) exam, this exam conducted by the Union Public Service Commission twice in a year. NDA has three wings:- Indian navy, Indian airforce, Indian army. Eligibility criteria:- Indian Navy and Airforce: You need to complee 12th standard with PCM subjects from any recognised board. Indian army: You need to complee 12th standard in any stream from a recognised board or university. You should be an Indian origin. The candidates age should be in between 16.5 years to 19 years. No upper age relaxation. Candidale must be physically fit. Male and Unmarried candidates are only eligible. Girls are not eligible. Percentage is not required to apply NDA exam. Sorry to say but you cannot join the Indian Navy after the completion of Diploma Course. This is because the minimum educational qualification required to join Indian Navy is 12th with PCM from any recognized board. After 12th , the candidates who are interested in joining Indian defense can fulfill their dream earliest through the NDA Examination. The Union Public Service Commission [UPSC] conducts the NDA Exam twice every year as NDA-I & NDA-II in the months of April and August. The Qualifications Required for NDA Exam are : * The candidate must have completed 12th with PCM from any recognized board. * There is no any specific percentage requirement in 12th. * Candidates appearing in 12th can appear for the NDA-II Exam too. * The age of the candidate must lie in between 16.5-19 years. * No Relaxation in upper age is given to candidates no matter they belong to any category. * The candidate must be an unmarried male candidate. * The candidate must be physically and mentally fit. * The candidate must be an Indian Citizen.
