Re: Can I reappear for boards next year? What is the procedure?
Good morning,
Dear friend according to CBSE a candidate may reappear at the examination for improvement of performance in one or more subjects in the main examination in succeeding year only, provided he/she has not pursued higher studies in the mean time. He/she shall appear as a private candidate. Those reappearing in the whole examination, may appear as regular school candidates also. I think that there is no such rule to appear in next year. For reappearing there is some chances with Medical ground. For more details you may visit - www.icbse.com Good day...... |

Hi
i think you had prepare for IIT then not so much preparation is required for 12th board.. and which board you are talking about?? If it is CBSE you cannot just abscond from exam you have to appear and third and most important thing is if you didn't clear 12th exam you cannot appear for IIT.. SO i suggest you to write the exam!! for bright future!! |

Re: Can I reappear for boards next year? What is the procedure?
yes off course you can appear for board exam next year. you will have to fill the form from the institute or college in which you are studying now. there is no need to study 11 and 12th again and also the college will free from the 75% attendence criteria.only you need to do is to fill the form with all the details.you will have to deposit only the fee of registration.
but i can't understand that how can you sit in IIT-JEE if you don't have either 12th degree or you are appearing in the same. |

Re: Can I reappear for boards next year? What is the procedure?
Hi!
Yes you can appear next year for the 12th board but you will gap of one year. So better to appear this year let see what happen. If you have prepared for IIT then it must be prepared for the 12th board. So don't get nervous just go ahead and confidently appear for the board. I wish you good luck......you will surely get good marks. If you are not get good marks then appear again next year with your full preparation. I just want to say that don't waste your important one year because it will be affect your career. that's all. So good luck for your bright career. |

Re: Can I reappear for boards next year? What is the procedure?
It is very big decision by you,
That the 12th exam after one year gap, if you preparing for the exam of IIT then th e12th exam you pass very easily. But you know about the board in next year so you can laps the one year so you can fill the form after lapping the year by, Regular or private form. But it is not preferred by entrance exam. |

Re: Can I reappear for boards next year? What is the procedure?
If you want to give IIT Exam in this year so you have to give 12th board also, because in case you are select in IIT JEE then for admission 12th board percentage are required so there is no process.

Yes, there is a way to apply individually also for the board exams. But this gap can even create an issue for your due course of study in your future. So think well and decide.

Re: Can I reappear for boards next year? What is the procedure?
Dear Friend
As i know if you will not want to appear then you treated as the absent for the exams and your result is shown as fail.then you can again apply for the 12th class. but in my opinion you have to give the exams its doesn't mean hows your preparation.at least it is batter the the absent mark in exam. good luck....... |

Re: Can I reappear for boards next year? What is the procedure?
Its so srange!!
If any way you were preparing for IIT without considering 10+2 exam than how you could get admission in IIT, i mean no one is eligible to get admission in IIT unless he/she get 60% in 10+2. If you have prepared with IIT level then by just little effort you can score 60% above in 12th. Still there is enough time to get prepared, if unable to do so then pls appear for exam and hope for the best. Next year you can only appear as a private candidate only i.e open examination. Wishing best of your future. |

Quote:
Dont skip 12th exam.It will not be a good move in your career at all. Also if you cant clear your 12th then there is no use of preparing for IIT.It will be absolutely useless because you have to pass 10+2 exam inorder to appear for it. I will suggest you that instead of concentrating on IIT exam give some time to your 10+2 study. In case if you wont be able to clear IIT then too you can do many other things in life. Choose wisely...... |

Re: Can I reappear for boards next year? What is the procedure?
no dear you cant do that. it would be of no use if you will not pass out 12th...
the thing which you can do is just concentrate on the boards first, clear it out with good marks so that you are eligible to sit in the JEE exam and then further u can take drop for the iit preprations. gud luck my friend |

Re: Can I reappear for boards next year? What is the procedure?
Simple, just leave or drop the exam of this year and apply for the exam for next year. There is no procedure for skipping examinations.
To be eligible for doing IIT JEE exam you must have passed your 12th std examination with at least 60% marks. So you can sit for IIT exam after passing the next year 12th board exam only. I suggest you to try this year and be confident that you can get 60% marks. |

Re: Can I reappear for boards next year? What is the procedure?
Yes, of course you can give Board exam next year.
For this, you will have to fill CBSE Improvement Form available from CBSE Regional Office of your area or from your School office. These forms generally come in month of July or August. After filling this form, you will appear for the board exam next year as a private candidate. |

Re: Can I reappear for boards next year? What is the procedure?
I was unable to qualify my 12th examination twice and was able to clear it in the third attempt.Would this be treated as a gap in my studies at the time of sitting for an interview for jobs?
