National Defense Academy has got three different wings:

• Army Wing
• Air Force Wing
• Naval Wing

In order to join the Army Wing of National Defense Academy, there is no compulsion to have Mathematics in the higher secondary level but as far as the other two wings of the academy are concerned, Physics and Mathematics in the higher secondary level is mandatory.

For candidates willing to join any of the three wings of the National Defense Academy, needs to qualify NDA Exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission and must be within the age limit of 16 years 6 months - 19 years.

The NDA Exam is conducted two times a year and in order to keep yourself updated regarding the upcoming NDA Examination, refer to the official website of Union Public Service Commission.

The eligibility criteria required for the NDA examination :
* Completion of 12th with PCM from any accredited board.
* Completion of 12th with Arts and Commerce for Army wing.
* Age limit:- 16.5-19 yrs.
* Sex:- Male.
* Nationality:- Indian.
* Marital status:- Unmarried or single.
* Physically and mentally fit.
