hey i am in 10th , i want to ask that can i go for nda if i do commerce with maths? please reply me.

You can go in nda by securing 60% marks.you must clear entrance and interview of nda.

Yes you can apply for NDA with commerce and maths but you can only apply for army. To join navy or air force you must have physics and maths in clasa 12th.

yes a 12th class commerce student also eligible for NDA.and should pass 12 th class exam

and minimum acceptable hieght for NDA is 157.5 cm

also your age must be within 19 years!!


and this exam conduct twice a year whose notification come in employement newspaper!!

yes ofcourse you can do nda. for nda, the minimum eligibility qualification needed is 12th class with maths and 60% marks. if you achieved this then you can surely opt for nda. for more details about nda, you can log on to their official website,

Sorry its not possible since you even need the other subjects i.e Physics and Chemistry.Students from PCM background are eligible for the NDA exam conducted by the UPSC board for Airforce and Indian Navy and Indian Army but Commerce students can only apply for the Indian Army.

You can go for army wing of National defece academy.For it you should have passed 10+2 exam.
Age should be between 16 1/2 to 19 years.

For Air Force & Naval wing you need to have Physics & Maths at 10+2 level.

You have lot of time to prepare.So do prepare well & then appear for it.

The eigibility to apply for NDA is Physics and Maths in 10+2.

Commerce and Arts candidate can not apply for NDA.

So do not take Commerce and Arts in 10+2.

I don't think commerce students are eligible for appearing in NDA exam but not sure about that so it would be better for you to visit the official site of UPSC that is http://www.upsc.gov.in

Definitely you can apply for NDA with commerce and maths.To join navy or air force you must have physics and maths in 12th standard.also you have to satisfy the the other eligibility criteria like your age must be within 19 years.

yes you will be eligible for giving the exam. the minimum eligibility qualification of nda exam is 12th class with atleast 60% marks

NDA-National Defence Academy

The exam is conducted by UPSC and it is held 2 times a year.For writing this exam the candidate must be eligible for NDA.

Eligibility criteria:

The candidates must be a unmarried male candidate and must have not born before 2nd July 1993 and not later than 1st January 1996 i.e the candidates must be 16 1/2-19 years of age.

The candidates appearing for the +2 exam is also eligible for the NDA exam.

For Army Wing:

The candidates must have finished their +2 with (10th,+2) pattern conducted by school education.

For Air Force and Naval Wings:

The candidates must have finished their 12th with (10th,+2) pattern conducted by school education and must have physics and mathematics as their subjects.

As far concerned with the physical standards the candidate must be physically fit while appearing for the exam.

Take Physics, Chemistry and Maths as your subjects in 12th. Also, Computer Science as an optional subject may prove helpful later. Also, age limit is 25 for appearing and you get 2 consecutive attempts only.

Here is what you can do.
*You need to focus on your studies properly, and get above 60%.
*Enroll in a IITJEE coaching institute, if possible.
*Give mock IITJEE tests.

You need to get a very good rank to get into IIT. Best of luck.

Sorry, you cannot apply for NDA while pursuing 11th class as it requires a pass in 12th class examination. And being a commerce candidate, you can apply only for the army wing only.
