Can i join nda writen exam 2011 after 12 class? I am a girl can i?
i am very much interested to join in defence.

Definitely girls can join defence. You can give NDA exam after passing 12th class.
Students of any stream can give NDA exam. For this your age should be 16.5 to 19 years.
But the minimum qualification is a pass in 12th board exam. This exam is conducted by UPSC.
There is some height, weight and eye sight criteria also.

yes. you can give the NDA exam. after passing 12th you are able to give NDA exam. the age agibility of candidate is not less then 18 year and not more then 30 years.

But sorry to say that girls are not allowed for this exam.

Only unmarried men of age between 16 to 19 is allowed.

But you can try in defence service exam after completion of your graduation through CDSE exam of UPSC.

Is NDA Meant For Girls A big Quetion Mark ??

NDA i.e National Defense Academy Exam is not written by Girls because Girls are Not Eligible for writing this.

NDA is only Meant for Boys. Girls become More Responsible only after completing their graduation Or any degree.

if girls wants to join indian Army then they can but Not after 12th they need to Go for further studies.

After Graduation you have ample number of Entries like

I) CDSE i.e Combined Defense Service Exam , need Girls/Guy with any Degree from recognized university for Indian Army.

If they want to join Indian Air force then they need to have Physics Or maths as a subject in their Graduation.

II) UES i.e University Entry Scheme , Final year Engineering Students are Eligible for this.

III) SSC Technical Only Final year Engineering Students are Eligible For this.

So, i do suggest you to Go for Engineering Degree to make your self Eligible for Every Entry..

Sorry to say that you are not eligible for NDA because NDA is meant for Mens only .
Eligibility criteria of NDA are as follows :-
1]A candidate should be 12th passed in any discipline .
2]A candidate should have at least 50% in 12th.
3]Age limit 16 1/2 -19 years .
4]12th appearing candidate is also eligible .
5]A candidate should be physically fit .
6]A candidate should have 6/6 eyesight .
But don't lose hope you can join defense as officer through the following entries but for that a candidate should be graduate . These entries are as follows:-
1]CDSE stands for Combined defence service exam and this exam is conducted by UPSC
twice in a year .CDSE allows only those who have completed their graduation in any stream .

Age limit for Navy 19-23 years

2]SSC- Short service commission a candidate can also join defense as a officer through SSC entrance exam .This paper is also conducted by UPSC .But it is short service commission it means a candidate can serve in Indian army for limited period .
Age limit limit for Army 19-24 years.
Age limit for Navy 19-23 years.
Age limit for Air force 18-22 years.
3]TGS -Techinical graduate scheme in this a candidate should have degree in engineering
Age limit limit for Army 19-24 years.
Age limit for Navy 19-23 years.

No girl are not eligible for NDA exam,only unmarried men,whose age is between 16 1/2 to 19 years and complete 12th class with PCM stream are eligible for NDA exam.

why is it that only boys are being allowed to give those exams of defence? why cannt girls, because iam crazy to join and to make my carrier in defence. so what the girls do after 12th to join defence?

Only unmarried male candidates can apply for NDA exam.

So, you are not eligible for NDA exam.

But you can join in defense after completion of graduation through CDS exam.
So, go for graduation course first..

I am sorry to state that girls cannot give the prestigeous NDA exam conducted by union public service commission (UPSC) , but girls have a great opportunity in army as technical graduate, now your question will be how to join army??

the answer is UPSC has2 schemes:
1) technical graduate scheme
2)NCC direct entry scheme

They have been furhter classified below:

after your graduation in respective field as electronics engineering field electrical engineering field mechanical field civil field architecture communication/telecommunication etc you are eligible for direct entry scheme for joining army.

NCC direct entry scheme:-

f you are having NCC 'C' certificate in respective 'army','air force',and'navy' you will be eligible for joining army.

after you been eligible for direct entry scheme, you need to fill forms for respective entry and then you will face SSB (service selection board) in which you will face interview, various officers will scan you to the most in the interview, task and other tests like psychology test etc. If your are selected here you will undergo a MEDICAL test and then you have to wait for you merit list to come...

if you are in the list you can serve for the army..!!!

If you want to join Indian Defense , then don`t worry you can do this by Combined Defense Services examination.
