Can a candidate having mba (finance) degree with ugc-net in management apply for the post of asst. Professor in economics department of any college / university?

To become an Assistant Professor in any stream like, Sciences, Arts, Humanities, Commerce, Education, Languages, Social Sciences, Law, Journalism and Mass Communication the required eligibility is a good academic record and minimum 55% aggregate marks at the Master’s degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
The candidate should also clear the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. As you have done you studies in management so its not possible for you to join the economics department of any college in India.

I have completed B.Pharm From AICTE Approved College (58%), then have completed MBA (Regular Mode) From ICFAI Dehradun University Approved by UGC & DEC (6.11 CGPA) & have completed M.Phil From YCM Open University Approved by Joint joint committee UGC-AICTE-DEC (61.25%) and M.A. (Economics) from EIILM University Sikkim Approved by Joint joint committee UGC-AICTE-DEC (63.51%). Now my Ph.D is in progress from Nagpur University (State University). Recently I am appointed as a Board of Studies Member in KSOU Mysore for MBA, EMBA & BBA/BBM. My 2 research paper are already published in national journal and I have attended 1 International conference and 1 National conference. Currently I am working as a Director General in a Distance Learning Institute of MBA. My total experience is 7 years in Marketing (As a M.R. for 2 yr), Education Industry respectively Weather I am eligible to appoint as a Asst. or Asso. Prof. in a MBA College Approved by AICTE?

As i have done M.S. (Finance) with 80% and i am interesting in giving N.E.T. exam but as per the syllabus there is no subject as Finance but yes, they have Management and Economics and these both were my subjects in my post graduation so i want to know will i be eligible for giving my net exam in Economics specialization as i have interest in Economics. And if i am not eligible for Economics than what else options i have in specializations ?

Yes Dear Friends. An MBA with 55 % marks with NET in Management and Human Resource Management is eligible to be an Assistant Professor in Economics and Commerce.
