Hello, my BDS will complete next year in month of march. Im not interested in MDS. Im also not interested in dental practice .what are career options for me after BDS ?

there is no other option fr u some r given if it can help u
there is only certificate cource. that certificate can b given by any MDS. it can b of 1 day to 2 years. but this certificate is of no value.it is as u r collecting a garbage for your clinic. instead of doing diploma u can do MBA in hospital management. it has a very good scope thanBDS. india has more than required dentist. after anil kohli became president of dci, he opened more than required dental college in india, just 4 sake of earning black money. Hello,
You can try to get into Clinical Research field.
You have a one year time, so by the time you complete your BDS try to evaluate Clinical Research field where you can make your career or not.

you can opt for MBA in hospital admn. it is not a clinical field & also is a budding career prospect in future

hi,i am sweta singh and have completed my b.d.s almost 2years before and working as a tutor in a college.i am good at my work, i will definatly keep on my practice but will open my clinic after marriage.so just wanted to know about any 6 months to 1 year diploma course which is in demand with its fee structure,location and other related details.
Can i get any government job begin a b.d.s.,if yes then please sugest where and how to aply.

hey have anybody given a thought about MSc ,in anatomy ,physiology biochem micro ,etc its easy and cheap and if u do phd u can be the head of the department,this is similar to MD for the mbbs ppl but they need not do phd for heading the dept.

I had the same problem as you. my parents made me put up a clinic and seeing the income from this i did not have the heart to leave all this and go for a PG course. Instead i opted for a short course from Academy of Fixed Orthodontics (AFO). They have courses in orthodontics after BDS that can be taken up by any fresher. Now I am practicing orthodontics in my clinic. You can inquire directly from AFO by visiting their site

no dear at present any study is nt useles think possitive.

If you are not interested in MDS or clinical practise then you can try for MBBS. I know it might seem funny to you but a person holding a degree of MBBS along with BDS has a great demand in all over the world. After having both the degrees you can practise as cosmetic surgent. It has a great demand nowadays and this field would grow much more in future. So if you can do a MBBS degree, you really would earn a good some for yourself.

What is the scope of Micro dentistry in India??

Whether a BDS student can seek admission into MS OPTHOMOLOGY/ENT/NUROMEDICINE/NURO SURGEON OR ANY OTHER SPECIALISATION DIRECTLY SURROUNDED BY MOUTH/FACE I.E. ABOVE NECK. iS THERE ANY POSSIBILITY TO INCLUDE THESE BDS STUDENTS TO BECOME ELIGIBLE FOR ABOVE COURSE IN FUTURE. IS DCI/MCI CONTEMPLATING TO INTERCHANGE THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR PG COURSES. IT IS UNDERSTOOD THAT BDS COURSE IS FOR 5 YEARS AND MBBS IS 4.5 YEARS WITH 1 YEAR INTERNSHIP. BOTH HAVE TO UNDERGO RURAL SERVICE.

hell with this dentistry....no scope,no money,no job,nothing...i think all bds passouts should make an organisation to stand against DCI...when there are no SUFFICIENT jobs in govt sector and no REQUIRED seats for MDS then why the hell these people are opening so many colleges and making fool of people AND PLAYING WITH THEIR EMOTIONS...they are not making DOCTORS rather they are bringing UNEMPLOYEMENT to india...all students think they are gonna be doctor one day BUT AT LAST THEY START SEARCHING FOR OTHER CAREER OPTIONS....

dude, u can join armed forces os an officer once u clear da combined defence services exam & then da ssb interview.........
