For that u need to clear civil service exam conducted by upsc and then select IPS cadre.

CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) :To join CBI you need to appear for CGPE exam i.e. Combined Graduate preliminary Exam which is conducted by SSC board every year.

QUALIFICATION: Minimum Qualification required is Graduation in any Discipline.

AGE: You should be in between 20 to 27 years of Age. & special Relaxation is given to SC/ST which is 5 years and For OBC 3 years.

You can join as a CBI officer after the completion of your engineering.
To apply for the CBI you have to give the Combined Graduate Preliminary examination.
The examination is conducted by the SSC every year. The eligibility required for this examination is below.

Education Qualification
To apply for this examination a candidate should be graduate in any
discipline form a recognized university.


Age Limit
Candidate age should be between 20 to 27 years.

To become a CBI officer you have to appear in the SSC conducted Combined Graduate Level exams

This Exam is conducted by SSC each year.

Educational qualifications:
Bachelors Degree Pass in any stream
No Minimum Percentage is required in Graduation

AGE-
Minimum 18 years
Maximum 27 years
OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxations

Next Tier 1 Exam of the SSC Combined Graduate level will be held in May 2014 Notification and advertisement will come out in Jan 2014


Questions will be asked from the Below Sections in this Exams:
>> English Comprehension
>> General Awareness
>> Quantitative Aptitude
>> General Intelligence and Reasoning

Minimum height required for CBI post:
Male -165 cms
Female -150 cms

Chest-76 cms

If your height is below 165 cms than you are not eligible for CBI
