The SSC combined graduate level examination is conducted by the SSC every year. A candidate can apply for the Combined graduate level examination for the post of CBI after the completion of graduation from the recognized university. Those appeared in the final year examination are also eligible to apply for the SSC combined graduate level examination.

For the post of CBI a candidate age should be between 20 to 25 years. Relaxation in age is given to the reserved category candidates as per thw govt. rule.

CBI stands for Crime Beurau Investigation.
To join the CBI you need to crack CGPE(Combined Graduation Preliminary Exam). This exam conducted by the Staff Selection Commission.

The candidate should be physically and medically fit for eligible this exam.

The CBI is controlled by the Ministry of Personnel headed by the Union Minister who reports directly to the Prime Minister of India.

Qualifying Exam
Candidates who wish to join the CBI must write the SSC combined graduate level exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission Examination.

Eligibility:
1. Graduation with a minimum of 55% marks are eligible to appear for this exam.
2. They must be at least 20 years at the time of applying. SC/ST/OBC candidates must be at least 30 years when they apply.
3. The candidates who qualify in the written test will be later called for a Physical Test and Interview.

Hi, I have completed my BCA (Bachelor of Computer Application) graduation with 68% and currently working in a international BPO firm. I like to work in a CBI office as a technical based work. My age is 24 (DOB - 10.02.1988) and I am belongs to BC based caste. Could you please confirm whetehr i am eligible to write a exams and kindly confirm when it will be conducted and other details too.

If you want to become a CBI Officer then you have to pass the SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination which is held every year by the Staff Selection Commission.

* You must be an Indian Citizen.

* You must be physically and mentally fit.

Now as per your ask , i would like to tell you that the exam for the year 2012 has already been conducted in the month of august this year .

So , if you have missed this year examination , then you have to wait for the 2013 examination.
