Hello,
I am Sumali & I'm currently in IInd year of B.tech Biotechnology. I wish to pursue M.tech in Biotechnology after my graduation. My question is "Is it neccessary to give the GATE exam to enter in M.tech?"
Which are the colleges in INDIA offering M.Tech in Biotech? Also what are the procedures for admission to these colleges?

yes gate scores sre required by most institutes in India.Following are best institutes for persuing m.tech:-

IIT-M
IIT-R
IIT-D
AIIMS,delhi
JNU,delhi
Osmania university,hydrabad.

admission procedure varies from institutes to inatitutes,however you can contact respective institute for it or visit there official websites.

Yes ofcourse gate scores do help you to get placed in top institutions of india. These are the various colleges offering M.tech biotech in india:

but most of the colleges take admission on basis of GATE score,so in a way it is mandatory

gate is the most popular national level exam form.tech....a lot of colleges get their admission through gate only.....but a lot of other universities have their own entrance exams and interview ......

you can get admission into m.tech without give the gate exam..

jnu,motilal nehru institute of technology........and many more institutes are available ..
who don't show the GATE score..

yes GATE exam scores is mandatory to join Mtech in reputed colleges... Some colleges conduct exams of their own.... U must attempt those exams if u wish to join those particular colleges.

if you want to do m.tech then you must have to give the gate exam,

and many iits and nits provides the m.tech course in biotechnology.

I would like to seek guidance from you guys in my Brothers career perspective.My brother is studying Genetic Engineering in SRM college.He has got 941 rank in GATE.Could anyone guess and let me know what College he can get with that rank.Also the best colleges for Mtech in GE in India?It would be of great help if you can provide ranking order for colleges.

if you want to do M.tech from a good like NIT,IIT...............etc
then you have to get good marks in GATE exam

HELLO! I m pursuing MSc BOTANY from Panjab University,Chandigarh.. right now it is my 2nd sem. Next year i want to do M.tech in biotechnology from IIT-DELHI. Am i eligible for GATE EXAM after my MSc?
