Re: Which course to do in order to get into IIM's?
If you are looking for a management course in IIM's any graduation will do, but if you are good in maths why dont you go for engineering, work for a couple of years and then go for MBA in IIM. IIM's prefer students with work experience for MBA program. Also you will land up in good jobs after MBA program. If you dont want to do engineering, you can go in for Bsc Maths and then appear for CAT exam. MBA has different streams like marketing, finance, HR and so on

Re: Which course to do in order to get into IIM's?
To get admission in the IIMs you have to sit for CAT (Common Admission Test).
IIMs are the top (class A) B-Schools in India. To get admission in IIM is very tough. You have to score 99% in CAT to get into IIMs. Anyone who has completed his or her graduation in any field is eligible for MBA. Though IIMs are government institutes, still the total fee for institutes like IIM is around 15 lacs., which is the highest MBA fee structure in India. besides CAT you can also give other exams which are less tougher as compared to CAT. they are: MAT(Management Aptitude Test by AIMA) XAT(MBA Entrance Test by XLRI Jamshedpur) JMET(Joint Management Entrance Test by IITs) SNAP[Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP)] ATMA(AIMS Test for Management Admission) MAH-CET(Maharashtra MBA Common Entrance Test) FMS Delhi University Entrance Test Faculty of Management Studies IGNOU OPENMAT - Indira Gandhi National Open University Management Admission Test IBSAT - ICFAI Business School Aptitude Test. |

Re: Which course to do in order to get into IIM's?
Hi
IIM's are the Indian Institutes of Management's and are the top Business Schools in India. This is also the most reputated ones in terms of placements and the packages offered in these colleges. Now as such these institutes offer the MBA course. MBA stands for the Master's in Business Administration. It is also one of the most compulsory courses these days in the market looking at the number of candidates running after it. MBA is a course which can be done by any graduate whether he/she belongs to any stream arts, science, or commerce. So first of all you may study any course, it would not affect your admission in the IIM's. CAT - Common Admission Test is the All India Entrance Exam which is conducted by the IIM's to select candidates for the MBA based on the merit of this exam. So CAT is based on the Aptitude and General English and has nothing to do with what you have studied in your graduation or which course you belong to. Thus please join some CAT coaching or start preparing yourself from the R.S Aggarwal book which is for the Aptitude and Barrons GRE book which covers the English portion. Some of the top MBA courses are : Finance, HR, International Business, Sales and Marketing, Hotel Management, Retail Management etc... Hope this helps All the best Regards #RJ# |
