Re: Which course to study to get into Indian Railway
For Indian Railway, recruitment is done at two levels ,
1. After 12th 2. After B.Tech After completing 12th, you have to apply for SCRA (Special Class Railway Apprentice) which is conducted by UPSC every year. 50% of Group A service officers are inducted through this exam. You complete you Btech after this exam as per the Railway Board curriculum. In the second option, you have to apply for IES exam, conducted by UPSC . You must have completed Btech to be eligible for this exam. It is a very competitive exam, selection rate is very low. And you must have completed engineering in one of these fields viz, electrical, electronic & comm, civil or Mechanical engineering. |
