Dear,

Damodar valley corporation is a public organization of india that generates thermal and hydro power. It has taken a lead in eastern region of India for power generation.

It also protects the region from floods and provide continuous power supply through river damodar. It is thus a central government unit and not a private company.

For more details regarding it you can visit its official site:http://www.dvcindia.org/

Best of luck!
