Dear aspirant,

-UPSC (union public service commission) conducts IAS exam for recruitment of IAS and IPS officers.

-For IAS exam you should be a Graduate in any discipline from a recognised university.

-You are a B.E civil engineer hence you are eligible for IAS exam.

-The age limit for IAS exams is 21 to 30 years for General category candidate. There is age relaxation available for SC/ST for 5 years, OBC for 3 years.

-The selection is based on IAS prelims , IAS mains and Personal interview.

-You have to pass IAS prelims to be eligible for IAS mains. Without passing IAS prelims you will not be eligible for IAS mains.

-You can apply for IAS exam by visiting UPSC website . There is a common application form online for every UPSC exam . You just have to select the exam for which you are applying.

Final year students are also applicable.....

Age Limit :- 21 - 30 years..

nationality of INDIA...($$ For OBC category : up to 33 years
$$ For SC/ST category : up to 35 years)

there are only 4 attempts available for General category (For OBC 7 attempt limit and for SC/ST no attempt limit).....

Complete Details on IAS Exam

A candidate can appear for the UPSC conducted Civil Services Exam to become an IAS officer..

Candidates who wish to appear for the Civil Services must satisfy the following conditions first :-

>> general candidates must be within the age limit of 21-30 years..

>> OBC candidates must be within the age limit of 21-33 years..

>> SC/ST candidates must be within 21-35 years of age..

>> all the category candidates must have completed graduation in any stream from a recognized college..

>> general candidates have a maximum of 4 attempts for appearing for the Civil Services..

> OBC have a max of 7 and no limit for SC/ST..

The written exam consists of 2 rounds :-

>> Prelims
>> Mains

Prelims (CSAT) will test you on your aptitude skills as well as GK..

Mains will have 9 subjective papers based on graduation subjects to be selected by you and compulsory English..

After you clear the Mains..you will be called for the final interview round..

The upsc is conducting body of the exams like IAS/IPS and others.
The details for them are as follows:
The eligibility criteria for the exam is:

* One have passed graduation from recognized university.
