Eligibility For UPSC UPSC stands for Union Public Service Commission which is a body which conducts various entrance exams like SCRA, NDA, CDS, Civil Services, IES, Engineering Services, Forest Services and many more but I think you are referring to the Civil Service Exams here which is conducted for recruitment for IAS, IPS and a few other prominent services.. A candidate can appear for the Civil Service Exams only if :- >> The candidate is within the age limit of 21-30 years if general, 21-33 years if OBC and 21-35 years if SC/ST.. >> Candidate must have completed graduation in any stream from a recognized institute.. > General candidates have a max of 4 attempts, OBC have 7 and no limit on the number of attempts for SC/ST.. The written exam is conducted in two stages :- Stage-1 :- Prelims which tests you on the basis of general awareness and aptitude.. Stage-2 :- Mains which tests you on the basis of 9 subjective papers based on your graduation subjects and English.. After you clear the Mains you will be called for the final interview.. You can visit the official website of UPSC which is http://upsc.gov.in for any more details on the exam.. I have attached the Prelims syllabus and some previous year papers for your reference.. all the best.. With Warm Regards Nitz |
