My son is doing diploma in IT from LPU and presently in third year. I want to know the names and location of colleges where he should get admission direct in 2nd year in B Tech and also I want to know the fee structure of the same.

after diploma if your son wanna take admission in the B.Tech then there is only one way which is through lateral entry
& remember your son can take admission only in those colleges which are providing all these
for this your son have to clear the exam of lateral entry
& about the fee structure no one can't say anything about it
because every college is going through different faculties,facilities & fee structure

U can get admission in Btech 2nd year through lateral entry... Some colleges take up students based on their diplomo aggregate. Some colleges may conduct examinations...

Will u please info about the university which are giving lateral entry in delhi, lucknow or nearby

after completing your 3 years diploma degree....then you have to give lateral entry exam to get admissions in almost every privat as well as govt...colleges........

do not worry,
he can taake the admission in the 2nd year of b.tech through lateral entry,

but for this he has to give the engineering entrance exam.

you can get admission in any of the engineering college for 2nd year b.tech course..........so just apply for the college in which your son wish to do engineering.........

i have completed b.tech in ECE from LPU. this university is recognised by UGC but not registered by AICTE. so i want to ask that am i eligible to apply for govt. job/PSU with the certificate given by UGC only, because this is not approved by AICTE??
Is the degree of this university acceptable in government sector as it is not approved by AICTE??

see to take admission in B Tech after Diploma , he have to appear and qualify lateral entry test. then he will be allow to do btech course after diploma.

like in west bengal there have a entrance test which is JELET. through which a diploma holder can do btech.

U r telling that your son is doing diploma , and he wants to take admission in btech.

in that case , he has to appear in lateral entry exam like LEET,JELET,or some state level exam..

by which your son can get admission in 3rd semester of btech course directly...

there are different fees structure in different colleges according to their college facilities, education...

Dear friend
There is no common eligibility criteria as the universities providing lateral entry are generally private.
So, that completely depends on a particular university.
It would be safe if you maintain your diploma percentage above 60%.

Your ward can take admission in any of the engineering college which offer lateral entry admission in their btech course. Right now you are in LPU, punjab. It is also a good college , you can also persue engineering from their. They also have a provision of admission in 2nd year of engineering for diploama candidates. However, some states do conduct examination for this.
Like in haryana , LEET: Lateral Entry examination test is conducted each year. You should also appear in these type of examinations. They develop a chance of getting better college in your region.

different states have different lateral entry tests to pursue in engineering in the GOVT., universities and the colleges affiliated to that state's state universities...

thera are many colleges which give lateral entery for the 2 nd year by conducting exams............

its a merit base selection procedure for admission in govt.and private colledge in rajasthan

Yes you are eligible to give entrance test of IIT's and AIEEE ,but you have to study in the 1st year only .
But if you want to study in the second year directly then you have to give entrance exam of lateral entry scheme in the different colleges in which you wants to study.
