After the change in the format of the civil service exam, the first stage of the exam, known as the preliminary exam do not comprise of any optional subjects and therefore, you will have to write two compulsory papers and they are:
General Studies
Civil Service Aptitude Test

Now, since the format of the Main Exam hasn't changed yet, you do have the option to select Electrical Engineering, as one of your optional subjects along with any other subject excluding subject from engineering discipline.
