Re: Eligibility criteria for Bank PO Exams for SC candidates?
There is some relaxation for the SC/ST candidates who want to appear for Bank PO Exam by the Institute of Banking Personnel Services. However the relaxation is given in only age limit.
Generally reserve category candidates are offered relaxation in percentage required and age limit. Since there is no percentage criteria for the IBPS Bank PO Exam, the only relaxation offered is in the upper age limit. The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST candidates. Other advantage SC/ST gets is that there is no limit on number of attempts. You can appear for IBPS Bank PO Exam as many times as you would like, as long as you are meeting the age criteria. Please check the complete criteria for the IBPS Bank PO below Eligibility 1. Only Indian citizens can apply for Bank PO. 2. A graduation degree from a recognized university is mandatory. 3. There is no percentage criteria. 4. Age limit is 20 to 30 years for General. Upper Age Limit Relaxation 1. Three years for OBC. 2. Five years for SC/ST. 3. Ten years for person with disability. In case you belong to reserve category then you must provide certificate to verify that. The Bank PO exam is conducted in the June of every year. Next exam will be conducted in June 2013. |
