hi!
To become a Customs Officer you will have to take the Civil Services Examination (CSE) conducted by UPSC which recruit candidates for 27 different services including the Indian Customs & Central Excise Services. Bachelor’s degree in any stream obtained from a recognized university is the basic qualification required for appearing in CSE. Also the candidate should be between 21 to 30 years of age. Those selected for the Customs Service are trained in Chennai while training for the central Excise Service is done in one of the metropolitan cities. |

Customs Department is one of the main tax collecting departments of the government. A Bachelor’s degree in any stream with 55% of marks is the basic qualification. The candidate must be above 19 yrs of age. The candidate must not use illegal drugs.

for custom officer you need to you must b a graduate through government recognized institute,plus u must get through competitive exam, like UPSC,MPSC at the time of examination your age must less than 28, there is relaxation for SC ST ,PD candidates for detail visit official site of upsc . all the best |

Respected Sir
Just wanted to know about the look out circular conditions by custom in the behalf of short visitor, myself Manmohan Singh who is under this bound of LOC since last 2.5 years and due to this I am not able to go abroad as my relatives also live there. So I have heard that it last only for 2 years but now its been more than two years and whenever I have tried to go abroad they actually harass me. So Please if you could tell me the procedure for the removal of LOC and also the conditions about it and How can I come out from this trap? Please suggest Thanks Manmohan Singh |

custom officer is responsible for the enforcement of custom laws in the country. The requirement for the exam is a bachelor degree. To become a custom officer you need to write the UPSC exam and become a eligible person.You will get promoted and you can become a officer that you are wishing |
